But this is just my own elite opinion, so you can feel free to disregard it.

Sorry to post old news, but this is the last straw. We have had enough of presidents who ignore facts in favor of their own self-interest.

(On a side note, welcome to my Clinton campaigning friend and new blog reader! Er... ha.)

since when did this country get so stupid. For Hillery to say this, should be so completely embarrasing to her and the people that support her. Ok, NOW I think she should drop out of the race!!!!

My sister-in-law, an economist's wife and a feminist, has been an avid Clinton supporter, so much so that even this latest gaffe may not persuade her to switch.

Economists! Pah! What do they know, anyway?

You know, you can't do this. You can't just pick and choose when to take into account the opinion of economists and when to disregard it. Why is it that their opinion makes sense on the gas tax issue, but not on the issue of fiat money, expansionary monetary policy, government over-regulation of financial markets, import/export tariffs, and a myriad other issues? As far as I'm concerned, you're doing the same thing she is: using the evidence when it backs up your pre-existing beliefs, and dismissing it otherwise.
