And I call myself a beer lover...

This is just depressing. My friend JJ, who writes a fantastic beer blog (I don't really know how it compares to other beer blogs, but that's because I don't read any others), posted this list of 125 Places To Have a Beer Before you Die. Yeah, that's right. Four. My only consolation is that two of them are in England, and so that gives me some kind of cred (grudging credit to Sean and the CAMRA Good Beer guide). Though why they say to have a beer in Piazza San Marco, I have no idea. Venice is not exactly a beer town.

I notice that the place where the owner angrily sold Bru a flaming inedible hot-hot-hot-mustard-poisoned sandwich isn't on the list. Hmm.

I agree with your friend JJ about Anchor Steam and their screwed up hours. They should take their lead from Rogue. #32 on the list. Makes me almost not want to buy the stuff...almost

At least you've been to places in England! Also - you and I will have to make a special trip to Anchor together sometime. I didn't see this until just now or else I would have brought it up at Cinco de Mayo DA, but let's schedule a friday vacation day one time and jsut go to Anchor! Of course, this can't be that spontaneous since we'll have to book 4 - 6 weeks in advance. bummer...They should hold some of the spots in reserve for walk-ins.

Hey! If you end up coming to OR this summer (or I guess anytime...) then I can add 3 more to your list without a problem. That almost doubles you ;-)

11. Hofbrauhaus, Munich, Germany
